Walk to Victory over Paralysis

Journey Forward is proud to announce that it will participate in the Team Reeve 12-hour “Walk to Victory over Paralysis” on October 22, 2016, 7AM – 7PM.

Team Reeve Donation

Team Reeve raises charitable funds to support ongoing spinal cord and other neurological disorders research for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and its NeuroRecovery Network. The “Walk to Victory over Paralysis” will benefit not only the NeuroRecovery Network, but also Journey Forward’s Locomotor Training Program.

The “Walk to Victory over Paralysis” is a 12-hour treadmill walkathon that will take place simultaneously at eleven NeuroRecovery Network sites across the country. Hundreds of current and former patients will be signing up at these sites for a 30 or 60 minute block of time on a locomotor treadmill (trained staff will provide assistance, if needed). To ensure that a treadmill will be running throughout the 12 hours, friends, family members or staff will walk alongside them on a standard treadmill.

Proceeds from Journey Forward’s fundraising campaign will be used to provide client scholarships.

We are asking for your support in this Walk by making a contribution in one or more of the following ways:

  • Form your own team and set a fundraising goal of $1,000.
  • Set your own personal fundraising goal and sign up for the treadmill walkathon.
  • Make a donation .
  • Donations of a gift certificate or item that we may use as part of a raffle, or a donation of food or drinks to help our participants complete this 24 hour challenge, are appreciated. Your participation in this very worthwhile cause will be deeply appreciated. Please contact our Program Director John Walters at 781-828-3233 or email for more information on how you can get involved.

Warmest wishes, The Journey Forward Team…
